Phillips Academy Preparatory School
The challenge for Phillips Academy Preparatory School.
Founded in 1778, Phillips Academy is a 9th through 12th grade prep school for both boarding and day students. The Fuess House, an on campus combined residence for faculty and students, is a large, 2 story masonry building built in 1962 that needed lead abatement work.
The project removed the lead paint hazards from the faculty apartment and common areas.
How Alpine shaped the solution.
Alpine was asked to complete the lead abatement work in a 7 room faculty apartment which consisted of stripping and encapsulation of wood trim. In order to accommodate the student re-occupancy schedule, Alpine completed the interior in two weeks.
In addition, exterior work involved stripping critical surfaces of over 70 doors and windows and preparing the building for finish painting.
A straightforward project, Alpine was in and out without any issues or delays.
